Double-sided MEA (malt extract agar) flex paddles. Supplemented with neutralizing additives, lecithin, polysorbate 80 and chloramphenicol. Lecithin inactivates quaternary ammonium on surfaces. Tween® (polysorbate 80) inactivates phenolics, hexachlorophene, and formaldehyde. Together lecithin and Tween® create a synergistic effect that inactivates ethanol. Chloramphenicol inhibits bacterial overgrowth while permitting successful selective isolation of fungi and yeast.
