Contact™ Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA) Microbial contamination monitoring system for surface testing and gloved fingertip testing.

Double-sided TSA (trypticase soy agar) flex paddles. Supplemented with neutralizing additives. Lecithin inactivates quaternary ammonium on surfaces. Tween® (polysorbate 80) inactivates phenolics, hexachlorophene, and formaldehyde. Lecithin and Tween® together create a synergistic effect that inactivates ethanol.

• Tests for common bacteria, yeasts and fungi on surfaces, including uneven and difficult-to-reach ones, as well as on gloved fingertips.

• Chloramphenicol is added to inhibit bacterial overgrowth while permitting successful selective isolation of fungi and yeasts.

• Lecithin and Tween 80 are added to neutralize the antimicrobial effects of disinfectants or cleaning solutions used on surfaces.
